Basic Notices

  • To avoid accidents, confusion, and disease transmission, and to ensure smooth entrance for all people, please follow the instructions from staff. If you could not follow staff instructions or the rules, you might be refused to enter the venue or the event could be canceled.
  • Please do not cut in line or secure a spot in line by leaving your luggage. Meeting up with a friend or acquaintance already in line is prohibited. When you are leaving for the bathroom or due to indisposition, make sure to inform people around you.
  • Please do not leave small children unattended. Announcements for individual calls cannot be made at the venue.
  • If you are feeling sick (have symptoms of a possible infectious disease), please refrain from attending the event.
  • Please pay attention to your health condition, and if you feel sick, please inform the nearest staff member as soon as possible.
  • In the event that one of your belongings has been stolen or lost, or if you suffer an injury, please inform the nearest staff member as soon as possible.
  • Please handle your personal belongings and valuable items at your own responsibility.
  • Do not run, or stare at your smartphone while you walk in the venue to avoid unexpected accidents.
  • Do not bring large luggage that could inconvenience other people.
  • Do not open your luggage or otherwise monopolize public spaces.
  • Do not take home exhibition and advertising materials.
  • Please refrain from bringing raw leeks to the venue.
  • There will be photo shootings, video recordings, and media interviews at each venue. Please understand that there is a possibility that you might be visible in a media-published photo or video.
  • We are not responsible for any disputes amongst visitors. In such cases, please consult amongst the parties involved.
  • The event may be canceled, postponed, or have its contents and location changed subject to various circumstances such as weather conditions.
  • There are no public restrooms inside the SNOW MIKU venue at Wing Bay Otaru. Please use the public restrooms of the Wing Bay Otaru facility outside of the SNOW MIKU venue.
  • Please refrain from lining up and standing by the venue on the day or night before the event.
  • Please do not sit down on the ground outside or inside the event venue.
  • Please see the “SNOW MIKU 2022” official website before coming to the venue.

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Transmission Prevention Guidelines

Before the Event

Installation of the COVID-19 Contact App (COCOA)

  • Please install the COVID-19 Contact App recommended by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

    In the case that the attendee cannot install the app, they may be asked to fill in a form instead.

Physical Condition before Arriving

  • Please measure your body temperature before leaving for the venue, and attend only if your temperature reads below 37.5 degrees Celsius.
  • If you have a preexisting condition or are pregnant, please consult with a physician before coming to the venue.

On the Day of Event

Entry Limitations

  • If any of the following apply to you, you will be refused entry:

    • Fever higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius.
    • Anybody who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event.
    • Anybody who has been in contact with somebody who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event.
    • Anybody who has traveled internationally within 14 days prior to the event and who cannot sufficiently provide proof of a negative test result for COVID-19.
    • Anybody who is intoxicated, or shows symptoms such as coughing, lethargy, difficulty of breathing, loss of smell or taste, etc.
    • Anybody who resides with someone who is showing symptoms.
    • Anybody who cannot provide personal information.

About Masks

  • You will be refused entry if you are not wearing a mask. Even if you remove the mask for drinking water, please put the mask back on as soon as you are done.
  • Please wear a mask not just at the venue, but on the way to the venue and on the way home as well.
  • Please be sure to have a spare mask ready in case you lose or cannot use your current mask.

Registering for COVID-19 Contact Tracing Systems

  • Please register to the Hokkaido COVID-19 contact tracing system.
  • Please register upon entering the Wing Bay Otaru venue. You will need to register per day of attendance.
  • QR codes for registration will be displayed at the entrances of the Wing Bay Otaru venue.
  • The QR code in each venue is for this event only. Please note it is different from the venue's standard QR code.
  • You may be asked for confirmation of registration upon entry. In case you do not comply, you may be refused entry.

Temperature Readings At Venue Entrance

  • Please comply with body temperature checks at the Wing Bay Otaru venue entrance.
  • Please measure your body temperature before leaving for the venue, and attend only if your temperature reads below 37.5 degrees Celsius.

Disinfection

  • Please use the disinfectant provided at each venue, as well as after using the bathrooms of either venue.
  • Disinfectant will be provided at various locations within the venues. Please cooperate and clean your hands.
  • High-traffic areas with hand contact will be routinely cleaned and disinfected.

Waiting Line / Inside the Venue

  • Please hold distance between each other while in line.
  • There will be a paid cloakroom service at the event venue. Valuable items are not accepted, please manage your valuables with your own responsibility.

    Cloak fee: 1 bag (90 liter size) 500 yen

    * Stored bags can not be taken in and out. The fee will be charged again if you wish to store your items again.

    * Cloak fee is for 1 day. Please be sure to pick up your items before closing time. Unclaimed items will be disposed of after a certain period of time.

  • Please socially distance even when in line as a party (except for parents with children).
  • Please refrain from speaking loudly or shouting while inside or outside of the venue.
  • Staff may intervene in situations where social distance is not being maintained or there are otherwise high risks of transmission.
  • Please refrain from distributing/trading goods at the venue.
  • If you refuse to comply with staff guidance, you may be asked to leave the venue or refused entry. You will not be refunded for any tickets in this case.
  • Entry may be limited when the venue capacity has been reached.

Leaving the Venue

  • When leaving the venue, please use the designated exits or follow staff instructions.

Smoking

  • Smoking is restricted to designated smoking areas.
  • For details on the status of smoking areas, please see the facilities' official websites.
  • There are no designated smoking areas within the SNOW MIKU venue. Please use the designated smoking areas in the facilities outside of the venues.

Alcohol Consumption

  • Alcohol consumption is prohibited inside of the Wing Bay Otaru venue.

Cosplay

  • There will be a dressing room for cosplaying at the Wing Bay Otaru 6th Avenue 4th floor event venue. Please note that the available space is limited. No costs such as cosplay registration fee, dressing room usage fee, camera registration fee, or any other will be charged to participants.
  • Cosplay dressing room is open 10am - 5:30pm. Please leave the room by 6pm.
  • There will be a paid cloakroom service at the event venue. Valuable items are not accepted, please manage your valuables with your own responsibility.

  • Please come to Wing Bay Otaru 6th Avenue 4th floor event venue for using a dressing room.
  • Please refrain from changing clothes at the Wing Bay Otaru bathrooms, or other public facilities.
  • You may wear cosplay costumes and wigs inside Wing Bay Otaru, please be considerate of others.
  • Please refrain from going outside the Wing Bay Otaru facility (train station, nearby stores, etc.) while wearing cosplay costumes.
  • Acts that may inconvenience other participants as well as wearing costumes that may cause discomfort are prohibited.
  • Please pay attention to the following when outside the event venue.

    • Please do not sit outside the event venue or take photos in front of stores. If you wish to take photos inside the store, please ask for store's permission first.
    • Please be considerate of others and make sure that other customers do not appear in the photos.
    • Please do not upload photos of other customers on social media.
  • Please perform cosplay on one's own responsibility. Neither the organizer nor the venue are responsible for any accidents and troubles caused by the content of cosplay.
  • Costumes which entirely cover the face (such as a full face cover, mask, helmet, headgear) are prohibited.
  • It is prohibited to bring items which may hurt other people (such as long metallic items).
  • Costumes which feature indecent exposure (revealing private parts or underwear) are prohibited.
  • Participants who are considered to be in violation of the rules may be forced to cease cosplaying or to leave the venue.
  • We ask for your understanding and cooperation that all customers must leave Wing Bay Otaru 6th Avenue 4th floor event venue by 6pm.

Due to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), cosplaying will be prohibited for this event, both inside and outside the venue.

Gift Flowers/Presents

  • We will not be accepting gift flowers during the event regardless of whether it is from a company or from an individual.
  • We can not accept gifts for performers, exhibitors, staff (including creators) during the event.

Event Operation

Ventilation

  • The venue will be constantly ventilated by its air conditioning system.
  • The venue doors will occasionally be opened to allow for air circulation. Please be sure you are wearing clothes that can handle temperature differences.

Emergency Medical Services

  • On the day of the event, if you are injured or feel ill, please inform the nearest staff member.

Event Staff

  • Event staff will always wear a mask, and depending on their position may wear face shields and gloves as well.
  • All staff and performers will maintain their health and comply with body temperature checks upon entry. Any staff members with a fever or any other symptoms will not take their stations.

Personal Information

  • Attendees' personal information may be shared with government institutions. Gathered information will be held for about a month after the event, and then discarded.

Changes, Cancellations/Postponements

  • If there are any mandates by local or federal governments to refrain from holding the event, the event may be postponed or canceled. Regardless of government mandates, depending on the spread of the disease the event may be postponed, canceled, or have its contents changed.

There are many more regulations this year than in previous events, and we will work diligently to prevent the spread of infection. We ask for each and every attendees' cooperation and understanding.

Official Merchandise Sales

About Official Merchandise Sales

  • Products on sale will be in limited quantity. Please be aware that some products may be sold out.
  • Please note that we will not accept returns, exchanges or refunds of merchandise items unless there is a defect on the product. Please contact staff about defective items with the receipt from purchase. Returns may not be fulfilled under certain circumstances such as a wide margin of time between purchase and return or returns at venues other than the one where the purchase was made. For online purchases please fill out the contact form via the online store website.
  • Please note that exchange or returns will not be accepted for damaged or stained package, product mount or wrapping.
  • Please refrain from lining up and standing by the venue on the day or night before the event.
  • Numbered tickets may be handed out when it’s crowded. Please follow the directions of the staff to reduce traffic congestion.

About SNOW MIKU 2022 Related Merchandise

  • For each company booth and other vending sites, please check with each booth about using a credit card when purchasing items.
  • Prices of the items sold outside the venues may vary from those shown on the official site.
  • Please note that the content of merchandise sales may be changed without any prior notice.

About Merchandise Purchase Limits

  • Merchandise sales at the official merchandise venue (Wing Bay Otaru) will be limited to a set number per person.
  • All items will be limited to 5 items per person per transaction, except for random items.
  • For details on company booths and other vendors within the Wing Bay Otaru venue, please inquire directly with the booth.
  • Purchase limits are subject to change without prior notice. For details please see the merchandise booth on the day of the event or the official SNOW MIKU Twitter account.

Filming / Photography

  • Although photo shooting is allowed in general, there may be sections where taking photos and recording is not allowed depending on the content. Please follow any signage as well as the staff instructions.
  • Bringing large equipment such as large monopods, tripods, stepladders, telephoto lenses, etc. into the venue is not allowed. (except registered news media)
  • Do not shoot videos while walking since it can cause accidents.
  • Live broadcasts/live streaming is prohibited.

  • When filming a person as well as posting or publishing photos and videos afterwards, please make sure the subject has consented to being filmed.
  • Taking photos or videos of others without their consent is strongly prohibited.
  • Please do not occupy a spot for a long period of time for shooting.
  • Corporations and individual business owners other than cooperating companies of this event shall not take photos or publish for their own promotion.
  • Staff may ask you to disperse in situations where there is a high risk of transmission, such as gathering together to take photos. We ask for your cooperation.
