What is "SNOW MIKU"?

"SNOW MIKU" is the character who enlivens the wintery Hokkaido.

The design is based on "a pure white snow sculpture of 'Hatsune Miku,'" that was created for "Sapporo Snow Festival 2010." Since then, a "SNOW MIKU" festival using "SNOW MIKU" as a main character has been held in Hokkaido every year.

The costume design for "SNOW MIKU" is selected in an online competition on different themes every year.

Nowadays, "SNOW MIKU" has been serving as an ambassador for various events to enliven Hokkaido, and has collaborated with other characters and companies to this day.

SNOW MIKU has also started serving as a Tourism Ambassador of Sapporo since September 2024.

What is "Rabbit Yukine"?

"Rabbit Yukine" is a a pet character of "SNOW MIKU", who enlivens the wintery Hokkaido.

As the name was decided on November 11th, 2013, November 11th has since been celebrated annually as the "Yukine Anniversary".

Yukine's design has been inspired from the Ezo Yukiusagi, which inhabits Hokkaido. Yukine is also currently participating in various projects to enliven Hokkaido, such as serving as an ambassador.

Yukine is also currently active as the head of the planning department of "Domingo", a local project by Crypton Future Media, INC.
In addition, Yukine has also started serving as a Tourism Ambassador of Sapporo since September 2024.

The "SNOW MIKUs" of past years are lined up in their order of appearance. The costume that "SNOW MIKU" wears at the festival is chosen via a public competition, "Piapro Official Collab" on the posting & collaboration site called "piapro" every year since 2012. The winning design is chosen by online voting, supported by both domestic and international fans.

The "Nendoroid" figures of "SNOW MIKU" and "Rabbit Yukine" wearing the costumes are released every year.

What is "Hatsune Miku"?

Hatsune Miku is music software developed by Crypton Future Media, INC., and it enables anyone to make the computer sing by entering lyrics and melodies. As a massive number of users created music using the software and posted their works on the Internet, Hatsune Miku quickly evolved into a cultural phenomenon. Moreover, Hatsune Miku has gained much attention as a character, involved in many fields such as merchandising and live performance as a virtual singer. Now her popularity has spread across the globe.
